Using the foundation laid by John D’Amico’s efforts with children, our goal is to raise funds and awareness towards pediatric blood cancers and research.
In Partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, funds raised will be directed to help find a cure for pediatric blood cancers through research efforts both in Canada and in the United States.
Our web presence will be an educational tool to help educate children on blood cancers and to assist parents in finding answers to their questions, where to find much needed support and hope, as they fight through the toughest journey of their lives. |

The Spirit Behind Our Campaign: |
In October of 2004, John D'Amico was diagnosed with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Shortly thereafter he had succumbed to his illness. During the time of his illness, his objective was to educate the public of this disease with the hope of promoting further research. His positivism was a driving force in his attempts to make a difference for others. John D'Amico will always be remembered as someone who put others before himself.
John D'Amico became a monument in his lifetime for his many achievements both on and off the ice. As a tribute to him and his battle with leukemia, we have created Hustle For A Cure — The John D'Amico Fund to build greater awareness toward the fight against blood cancers. Almost every charitable event John participated in at any capacity involved children. We are going to work hand-in-hand with The Leukemia Lymphoma Society and direct all money from Hustle For A Cure - The John D'Amico Fund to pediatric research. |
